Asterknot Traning Pogram

by CodeWarrior Carling on Nov.16, 2009, under 48 Hour Films, Comedy, Machinima

This is Ideajuice Studios entry in the 2009 48 Hour Film Project (machinima edition).

This years team consisted of just CodeWarrior Carling and Evie Fairchild. The genre we were assigned was science fiction, and all teams were required to use a book as a prop, feature a character named Bobbi Stuart who was a baker, and to use the line of dialog “are you sure about that?”.

We successfully submitted our film on time, and were judged to be the film that made the best use of the line of dialog. We used avatars from many different places, and were granted permission by Madcow Cosmos to use a wonderful set of objects he made for our ‘Asterknot Traning’ facility.

Featuring aliens, children, dogs, kittens, cupcakes and fresh baked bread, we hope you enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed making it.

Managers Theory Reconstructed

by CodeWarrior Carling on Dec.07, 2008, under 48 Hour Films, Comedy, Machinima

This machinima was created as an entry for a local film festival – the 48 hour challenge. Similar to a 48 hour film project film, the goal here was to use three phrases in the film.

I made my film about the making of the film. The three phrases I had to use can be seen by watching the video.

Beach Ball Bingo – 48 HFP Entry Extended Cut

by CodeWarrior Carling on Nov.22, 2008, under 48 Hour Films, Machinima

Our assigned genre was thriller/suspense, and ironically we had a lot of real life suspense along the way. We got our film uploaded a scant five minutes before the dealine. A tension filled cast and crew exploded in joy when the successful upload was announced in group chat, only to crash into despair a few minutes later on learning that because of an issue with the film format our entry would be disqualified.

However, the next day, we learned from the contest sponsors that they would allow our entry to be submitted for judging, and the suspensful, thrill filled weekend of movie making mayhem turned out to have a happy ending after all.

We’re thinking of making a thriller/suspense movie about a team of people who have to make a movie in 48 hours….
