Excerpt from Little Wooden Boy and the Little Jewish Genie
by CodeWarrior Carling on Jan.24, 2010, under Comedy, Machinima
An excerpt from Little Wooden Boy and the Little Jewish Genie for viewing by the audience at a conference that was held in Second Life on Saturday Jan 23, 2010. If you are viewing this on my blog, don’t watch this excerpt – watch the full length version a couple of posts earlier.
The conference was organized by Phaylen Fairchild and among the attendees were representatives from the William Morris talent agency and several other media companies. The focus of the conference was to discuss and explore ways in which machinima and virtual worlds could be used by traditional media concerns to produce content.
CodeWarrior Carling of Ideajuice Studios was one of the panel members along with Chantal HArvey, Pooky Amsterdam and Rosco Teardrop. The conference ran for approximately 2 1/2 hours, well over what was anticipated, largely due to a very strong interest by the audience in a Q&A session that took place after the formal part of the conference was over.
Asterknot Traning Pogram
by CodeWarrior Carling on Nov.16, 2009, under 48 Hour Films, Comedy, Machinima
This is Ideajuice Studios entry in the 2009 48 Hour Film Project (machinima edition).
This years team consisted of just CodeWarrior Carling and Evie Fairchild. The genre we were assigned was science fiction, and all teams were required to use a book as a prop, feature a character named Bobbi Stuart who was a baker, and to use the line of dialog “are you sure about that?”.
We successfully submitted our film on time, and were judged to be the film that made the best use of the line of dialog. We used avatars from many different places, and were granted permission by Madcow Cosmos to use a wonderful set of objects he made for our ‘Asterknot Traning’ facility.
Featuring aliens, children, dogs, kittens, cupcakes and fresh baked bread, we hope you enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed making it.

The musical score was written by Evie Fairchild using Sonic Fire Pro. iClone and Crazy Talk work as well as video editing was done by CodeWarrrior Carling.
This is by far Ideajuice Studios most popular machinima to date, and a sequel is already being planned.

Burns and Allen
by CodeWarrior Carling on Aug.28, 2009, under Comedy, Machinima
An iClone video using voices from two great Second Life actors, Kayden Oconnell and MadameThespian Underhill. They perform an awesome version of the famous ‘Whos on First, Whats on Second” skit made famous by Abbot and Costello, but using the voices and personas of George Burns and Gracie Allen in their heyday.
Avatars were generated in iClone by CodeWarrior Carling using the stock avatars and sliders.
Vaneeesa Blaylock 07 – I Advance Masked
by CodeWarrior Carling on Aug.22, 2009, under Machinima, Performance Art
Vaneeesa Blaylock is a well known performance artist whose installations focus on the theme of identity. Virtual worlds allow her to explore this theme through the use of avatars in ways that would be difficult or impossible in real life.
This is a short film of her seventh in the series (VB07). “I Advance Masked” was presented on August 15, 2009 in the Ancient Greek Ruins build in Petruchio region in SL, and during the two hour performance drew over 100 visitors.

Thanks for visiting our blog. We won’t be posting often, but we hope when we do post something you find it entertaining and useful.
Ideajuice Studios is a very small company created by CodeWarrior Carling, an avatar in the Second Life® virtual world, to produce and publish machima made there and with other emerging tools such as iClone, DX Studio and Moviestorm.
Machinima are videos made using game engines or other virtual reality applications by recording the players actions in real time and then editing the resulting footage using normal techniques that apply to any other video.
You can view many of the machinima produced by Ideajuice Studios on other parts of our site. These blogs are more of a place for us to share our thoughts on other things we think will be of interest to our friends and fans.
